It's calculated from the same per-unit API pricing that powers your actual usage billing in Vimerse Studio, based on the models you pick above. The script length assumes 150 words per minute, video clips are estimated at 5 seconds each, and the estimate covers one generation per clip — regenerations or a longer final edit will change your real cost.
What's the difference between the $49 license and the cost shown here?
The $49 Vimerse Studio license is a one-time purchase for the software itself — every feature unlocked, videos up to 10 minutes at 1080p, all AI models, LoRA character training, and batch rendering, with no monthly fee. This calculator estimates the separate, pay-as-you-go cost of the AI rendering (script, voiceover, images, video) on top of that license — you only pay for the generations you actually run.
Why does video cost more than images or script?
Video models bill per second of output, and most render in 5-second clips at once, so a single clip costs more than a single still image or a line of script. Switching to a different model in the Video Model selector above changes the per-second rate — compare a few before committing to a long project.
Does the estimate include regenerations or LoRA training?
No — it assumes one generation per script line, image, and clip. If you regenerate a clip because you don't like the result, that adds its cost again on top of the estimate. LoRA training for character consistency is also billed separately from generation and isn't included here.
How is the voiceover cost calculated from video length?
Moving the Video Length slider sets an estimated script length at 150 words per minute. The voiceover cost is then derived from that word count (roughly 4.8 characters per word) at the selected voice model’s per-character rate.
Can I lower my estimated cost?
Yes — the biggest levers are the Video Model and Image Model you select (rates vary per model), the number of clips (fewer, longer clips can cost less than many short ones at the same total duration), and minimizing regenerations by getting your prompt or reference right the first time.
